Taken to it like a fish to water.....
In February 2001, I decided to dabble in a few types of martial arts as a new hobby. I started out with Aikido, Cardio
Kickboxing and Kickboxing. I was too forceful for Aikido, got bored easily with Cardio Kickboxing, and got absolutely hooked
on Kickboxing! So on this site I'll enthuse about this excellent sport and the fantastic people participating in it with me.
This was part of our initial kickboxing crowd. We trained at Keller's Martial Arts in Houston, Texas.

Our coach was Nizar Taleb, a welterweight world champion from Palestine.
In 2002 I visited him in his hometown of Tripoli (Lebanon) where I also took part in some of his classes, met his
coach Walid Kassas (World Vice President of WPKA, and owner of Samurai Club in Tripoli), as well as a lot of his students
over there. In addition to the ones shown below, some more pictures from this fantastic trip can be seen on the 'Vacations'
page.

Two photos in Nizar's Tripoli gym with his students there. Also part of the gang are three of his brothers!
