This is where I lived in Houston....after 2 years in my little townhouse in Bellaire I gave up singledom to 'co-habit'
with Andrew in this house in the Heights, an eclectic green part of Houston. At a slightly higher elevation I did not get
flooded again during the frequent tropical storms we got! The house is beautiful with lots of wood, sloping ceilings, big
windows, sun deck with huge old tree, balcony and even own pool.

For 2 1/2 years until June 2002, I worked as a geologist in Offshore Drilling Hazard Assessment for Shell International
Exploration and Production, based in Houston, Texas/USA. My work was an exciting combination of office-based seismic
and well data analysis, and trips offshore to rigs in the Gulf of Mexico, like the one shown here.
The I transferred to a different office in Houston and was working as a reservoir modeller in one of the Nigeria teams.
Still a reservoir modeller, I am now working on the Baram Delta fields off the coast of Malaysia Borneo.

Being a geologist has the distinct advantage of being sent to study rock outcrops in nice parts of the world....Spain
is an all-time favourite, as shown here with a volcanic flow overlying beach deposits in south-east Spain.

My first time skiing was over New Year 2000/2001 in Saas Fee, Switzerland. An incredible experience, with huge snow and
glacier-covered mountains surrounding a quaint little village of wooden houses with a throbbing apres-ski scene. In addition
to learning how to get down blue and red runs, snow shoe excursions and copious amounts of mulled wine and lumumba were an
integral part of the experience. Since then, Andrew persuaded me to switch to snowboarding so the search for the perfect powder
is always on.
